Katerina Stearman - Sophie

Katerina trained at the Central School of Speech & Drama (MA Classical Acting). Theatre credits include: Varya in The Cherry Orchard (White Bear), Stella in Bodies Unfinished (Brockley Jack), Emily in Small Mercies (Etcetera), Frau Hoffemier in Count Oederland (Arcola), Karla in Above and Beyond (Corinthia Hotel),  Eleanor in rehearsed reading of Cake and Congo (Clean Break) and Liz in Billy (Union Theatre).

Andrew Utley - Andy

Andrew is an actor, writer and director. He began his career with Off The Ground Theatre where he tutored at the company's youth theatre. Theatre credits include: “He” in Angeldust (Chequered Blue Theatre Company – Etcetera Theatre), “Elbow” in Measure for Measure (Dark Corner Theatre Company – The Cockpit), “Peter Quince” in A Midsummer Night's Dream (The Movement­-The Courtyard), "Bernie Bernbaum" in Miller's Crossing (Secret Cinema 21) and, among other roles "The Captain" and "The Electrician" in Death Ship 666 (Box Step Productions - Edinburgh Fringe and Leicester Square Theatre).

Brendan Murphy - Fenrir

Brendan is an actor, writer & improviser. He runs Define Choice Theatre Co. ("Immersive, site-specific theatre at its best.” - Fourthwall Magazine) and The One Hour Plays ("Brilliant and hilarious" - The Guardian). Brendan also performs with award-winning improv group BattleActs! After graduating from the BA Acting course at Arts Ed, Brendan studied improvisation with David Shore (Second City, iO West). Theatre includes: The Adventure (Royal Exchange Theatre), Accomplice (Menier Chocolate Factory), Nature Adores A Vacuum (Soho Theatre).

Victoria Blunt - Onyxis - The Nightmare Queen

Victoria has performed internationally in film and theatre, touring Europe and Asia for 4 years. She also performs stand up comedy as various off beat characters. Victoria’s credits include; Writer/Performer in News Revue (London), Elizabeth in Frankenstein (Paris), Beatrice in Much Ado About Nothing (Berlin) and Nancy in Oliver Twist (Tokyo). She has also worked on A Play In A Day by Pop Up Theatre Company, in which she co-wrote and performed an hour long play, within 12 hours. This will be Victoria's Edinburgh fringe debut.

Dave Bibby - Sack Face

TV's Dave Bibby appeared in Channel 4’s ‘Eye Spy’ alongside Stephen Fry.  Recent projects include playing Dick in The Leicester Square Theatre’s panto ‘Dick! Comes Again!’ and Bottom in Principal Theatre’s ‘A Midsummer Night’s Dream’ (Dick AND Bottom – what’s wrong with this guy?) Dave was awarded ‘Best Male Act’ at the SOLO Festival for his one man show ‘Stories from the Spectrum’ and also writes and performs in kick ass sketch trio Lead Pencil; returning to The Underbelly at Edinburgh 2014.

Rachel Bird - Amastris

Rachel trained at the Court Theatre Training Company (BA (hons) in Acting). Recent theatre credits include The Seagull playing Nina (Resort Studios), Cinderella (West Wing Arts Centre), A Fairytale Murder (Moors Bar), The Other School (St James Theatre), Lady Windermere's Fan (The Courtyard Theatre), Macbeth the Musical (South Park Theatre). She has recently finished rehearsing for Oily Cart's new interactive and multi-sensory show The Bounce which will tour the UK from September 2014.



Marc Specter - Sound Designer
Marc has a background in studio music production and film sound. He currently works at Sound Disposition. Sound Design credits include Shadow Dancer with Clive Owen and Andrew Risborough, The Sweeney with Ray Winstone and Plan B, and A Single Shot with Sam Rockwell and William H Macy. Marc recently worked with Box Step Productions on their recent show "Death Ship 666!

Alex Paton - Composer
Alex is a young composer and musician providing bespoke music for film, television and theatre. Alex has developed a wide compositional palette that draws from a variety of genres and styles from his background playing range of instruments in Orchestras, brass bands, rock & metals acts and folk ensembles.

Jonathan Oakley - Songwriter (Onyxis' Song)
A singer/songwriter/composer/producer. Jonathan's previous film and theatre credits include Much Ado about Nothing, The Taming of the Shrew and A Midsummer Night's Dream (Composer and MD, Reading University Drama Society), The Story of Amena Menir (Box Step Productions), Death Ship 666! (Box Step Productions), and Aladdin (Fortune Theatre - BBC Radio 4). His debut acoustic album 'A Change of Sky' was launched in 2007, with the follow up due in early Autumn 2014. 

Rachel Starling - Songwriter 
Rachel has been writing songs and melodies since she was twelve and provided the main lullaby theme for Once Upon A Nightmare

Loren Wood - Costume Maker
Loren has been costume making for the past three years. In that time he has worked on projects for designers such as Louis Vuton and worked on Beyonce’s dress for the recent o2 priority campaign. Loren also specialises in milinery under the psyudenum Mr Woods milinery. He was commisioned by Vidal Sissoon and recognised in Grazia’s “Hat Factor” awards. Loren also has a background in tailoring with aspirations to become a tailor. 

Dana Fox - Headdress Designer
Dana is AlienFox Designs, specialising in outrageous costumes and headpieces. Sucking inspiration like an extraterrestrial vampire bat from sources such as Aztec mythology, the New York club scene, feathered ghouls and apocalyptic visions of the future. Everything he creates is slashed with the signatory AlienFox craftmanship of stroboscopic colour and the aerodynamism of feathers and sleek lines, or chunks of armour and spiny tendrils; he brings to life cybernetic aliens and psychoerotic creatures from the beginnings of creation and the ends of any universe in existence.

Justin Williams - Set & Landscape Projection Designer
Justin trained at Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts in Set Design alongside his work as a director, he also founded his theatre school, upSTAGE. Credits include the recent West End production of John Godber's 'Bouncers', as well as 'Death of a Gunman' and 'Dancing at Lunasa' at The Unicorn Theatre and 'The Threepenny Opera' at Battersea Arts Centre. Justin also designed the projection work for Once Upon A Nightmare with his associate, Harry Johnson. 

Harry Johnson - Set & Prop Maker
Harry is currently training at the London College of Music studying an Acting For Stage course. He has directed and played in numerous semi-professional performances at Upstage Theatre School where he worked for two years predominantly as a teacher in addition to building various sets for the school. He has recently performed in Bouncers at Leicester Square Theatre in London's West End. Working on the technical side of this show with associate Justin Williams who has created the projection, Harry has been responsible for the set/props design and build.

Lucy Colgate - Head of Live Projection
Lucy is an award winning editor who's clients include EE, HSBC, BP and Audi. She has edited multiple films for Box Step including "The Story of Amena Menir" and "Star Wars Disney - The Musical".

Xander Smith - Lighting Designer & Operator
After training at the University of Hull, I worked with Pleasance at the Edinburgh Festival in 2012 & ’13. This led to a brief engagement with the Flabbergast Theatre Company, Relighting and Operating Boris & Sergey’s Perilous Escapade and upcoming Edinburgh offering Boris & Sergey’s Astonishing Freakatorium. I then took a position as a Sound Operator with Celebrity Cruises and have now returned to my primary love, Fringe Theatre.

Andrew Rodger - Director of Photography
Andrew Rodger is known for his work in commercials, features and music promo. A meticulous talent, Andrew is much in demand by film, production and television clients. In recent years, he has featured in press including Televisual, American Cinematographer and High Definition Magazine


Natalie Daniels - Fight Choreographer
Graduate from East 15 acting school with BA degree in acting and stage combat. Since then I have performed with BBC WW and Secret Cinema on a production of The Musketeers as well as independent feature and short films. My fight director credits include productions of Once Upon A Nightmare, Midsummer Night's Dream, Macbeth and Romeo and Juliet.

Charlotte Barrett - Production Assistant
Charlotte is the Assistant Producer on 'Once Upon a Nightmare'. Having studied English Literature at university, she loves writing in all its various guises, from theatre and film to novels and poetry. Alongside experimenting with the written word, Charlotte is also a keen illustrator, and is working towards publishing her own graphic novel.

Scott Baker - Digital Marketing Manager
Before joining Box Step, Scott has worked with Signe Olynyk and Bob Schultz from The Great American PitchFest to increase their social media presence. In the months promoting their tenth annual event, their twitter feed reached 1000+ followers along with 3000 likes on Facebook. Outside the virtual world, Scott connected Signe and Bob with The London Screenwriter’s Festival to form the Great British PitchFest which is now in its third year.
